On the Rock ("the app", "we") is a quiet companion for reflection and comfort. We take your privacy seriously, especially because what you share may be personal. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and your control over it.
Who we are
On the Rock is operated by its founder as a not-for-profit ministry. It is accessible at rockat6.ai and as an installable app.
What the app is
On the Rock is an AI companion. It runs on third-party large language models, which may change over time. It is not a human, not a counsellor, not a medical or crisis service, and not a source of divine authority. It offers comfort and points to Scripture — nothing you share creates a professional or pastoral relationship.
What we collect
If you use the app without signing in (anonymous):
- Nothing about you is stored on our servers. Your conversation exists only in your browser session and is gone when you close it.
- We keep a temporary, non-identifying record of usage volume per network address, solely to prevent abuse and manage cost. This is not linked to your identity.
If you choose to sign in (optional "remember me"):
- Your email address, to sign you in.
- Your conversations, so the app can remember them for you across sessions.
- These are stored securely and encrypted at rest, and are visible only to you.
Voice:
- If you speak to the app, your audio is sent to a third-party transcription service to convert it to text, then discarded. We do not retain voice recordings.
How we use it
- To provide the service (respond to you, remember your conversations if you signed in).
- To keep the service safe and available (abuse prevention, cost control).
- We do NOT sell your data, show advertising, or use your conversations to train any AI model.
Third parties
To operate, the app sends necessary data to service providers: language-model providers (to generate responses), a transcription/speech provider (for voice), an email provider (to send your sign-in code), and hosting and database providers (to run and store the service). These providers process data only to deliver their function.
Your control
- Delete your history: you can delete all your stored conversations at any time, permanently.
- Turn off memory: you can stop the app from storing anything, at any time.
- Sign out: returns you to anonymous use.
- Anonymous by default: you never have to sign in to use the app.
Safety and crisis
On the Rock is not a crisis service. If you are in distress, it will point you to real human help and helplines. Please reach out to a trusted person or a crisis line — the app is a companion, not a substitute for professional or emergency support.
Children
On the Rock is intended for general audiences and is not directed at young children. If a user indicates they are a minor, the app responds with care and encourages them to reach out to a trusted adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date.

- 我们的服务器不会存储任何关于你的信息。对话只存在于你的浏览器会话中，关闭即消失。
- 我们会按网络地址保留一份临时、不可识别身份的使用量记录，仅用于防止滥用与控制成本，不与你的身份关联。
若你选择登录(可选的「记住我」):
- 你的电邮地址，用于登录。
- 你的对话，使应用能跨会话为你记住它们。
- 这些信息经加密安全存储，只有你能看到。
语音:
- 若你对应用说话，音频会发送至第三方转录服务转成文字，随后丢弃。我们不保留语音录音。
我们如何使用
- 提供服务(回应你、在你登录时记住对话)。
- 维持服务的安全与可用(防滥用、控制成本)。
- 我们不出售你的数据，不展示广告，也不使用你的对话训练任何 AI 模型。
第三方
为运营本应用，必要的数据会发送给服务提供商:语言模型提供商(生成回应)、语音转录提供商(语音功能)、电邮提供商(发送登录码)，以及托管与数据库提供商(运行与存储服务)。这些提供商仅为履行其功能而处理数据。
你的掌控
- 删除历史: 你可随时永久删除所有已存储的对话。
- 关闭记忆: 你可随时停止应用存储任何内容。
- 登出: 返回匿名使用。
- 默认匿名: 你无需登录即可使用本应用。
安全与危机
「磐石之上」不是危机服务。若你正处于困境，它会引导你寻求真实的人的帮助与求助热线。请联系你信任的人或求助热线——本应用是陪伴，不能替代专业或紧急支援。
儿童
「磐石之上」面向一般用户，并非针对幼童。若用户表明为未成年人，应用会以关怀回应，并鼓励其联系信任的成年人。我们不会在知情的情况下收集儿童的个人信息。
变更
我们可能更新本政策。重大变更将在此以新日期反映。
